Olifants River Lodge

Hidden in a smaller private reserve approximately 50 km outside Hoedspruit, you will find this stunning bush lodge on the banks of the Olifants River. The lodge sleeps 6 people and consist of a main house with one ensuite bedroom and a separate unit with two ensuite bedrooms. The main house has a well equipped kitchen, a cozy living area with a bar and an open fireplace for the colder evenings, and a large, partially covered deck with a braai area and a pool and sundeck.
The deck is overlooking the Olifants river where hippo's and crocodiles make for regular sightings, whilst klipspringer and nyala are frequent visitors around the house.
Two thatched 'sala's' overlooking the river, flank the lodge and are ideal places to withdraw oneself with a book, a beer and a pair of binoculars for a totally quiet few hours.

The approximately 2.700 hectare reserve is populated by a large variety of plains game, such as amongst others, impala, kudu, waterbuck, bushbuck, steenbok, zebra, giraffe, sable antelope, eland and is open for your exploration. Predators regularly seen and heard are leopard, hyena and wild dogs. As the reserve has no lion, elephant or buffalo, one can walk and hike in the reserve and enjoy nature in its most pristine form.

The lodge and the reserve are at your disposal for your private African safari. It is the perfect place to unwind and leave the stress and busy city behind and live in the moment.
During your stay you will be assisted by our lodge manager who lives in her private quarters and will take care of daily cleaning, making beds and doing turndowns. Laundry service can be opted for at a surcharge.

Please make sure not to leave doors or windows open unattended because of monkeys and baboons
Please note this lodge is not suited to bookings with children below the age of 12 years
No parties of any sort are permitted on the premises or in the reserve
Speed limit in the estate is strictly 30KM/hour
No off-road driving allowed in the reserve
